carl and ashmae are my friends. more than that. they are the people i run into at events around town or among common friends who make my face light up as soon as i see them, and who i greet with the biggest hi and hug. (the double 'h,' i like to call it). little known fact, ashmae took my wedding pictures. no she is not a photographer. but she is an artist of the best sort. she sees beauty and makes it wherever she goes. her prints are all over the internets and etsy land and beyond. check them out here now these two have been joined by a third. a sweet little remy boy. since cute poses, props and perfection aren't really my thing, really wanted to capture all that awe and wonder and adoration that comes with being first time parents. this is what we got, all on film.

morning light
the perfect light. the perfect connection. my favorite boise location, the perfect morning. i am always flattered when other photographers ask me to take their photographs. bridget said this was her brithday gift to herself and then i got nervous. because who wants to be a disappointment on someone's birthday? luckily these 5 made things easy on me. all images shot on my contax 645 with the film fuji 400h.
Courtney and Ryan get married in Boise
meet my friends, ryan and courtney. i call them my friends because even though we only met when they made a snowy drive from idaho to ut for their engagment session, we immediately fell into stride. i imagine it was a lot like they way courtney and ryan fell in stride with each other, you know, minus the romance.
heartthrob
these two are my collective heartthrob right now. and film. oh film, i love you more each day. excited to share this wedding with you soon. contax 645. fuji 400h.
