let's kick this off this romantic post with a gargantuan, sloppy kiss. from me to you. from me to you, minus the romance. this is more of a platonic thing. okay, getting off track already, what am i really trying to say here? basically, i'm trying to sayi can't thank you enough for your comments on my post below. i was blown away with your support. and it seems to serve as a lesson that when you shoot something for you, you know, where you partially replace your eyeballs with your actual heart, you manage to truly CONNECT with others. though this is the way i always try to shoot, i'll be honest, its harder than it sounds in my idealistic little mind. and i'm not always 100% successful. but i'm getting there, inch by painful, thrilling, inch, and receiving such nice feedback from y'all, helps propel me along. so thank you, thank you, thank you. and now, please feast your eyes on this lovely couple, who's actual wedding marty and i photographed last weekend. it was every bit amazing as candace and eric deserved. these shots, however are from their "him and her (oooh, it sounds so intimate, doesn't it? like bathrobes)," session earlier in the month. we spent some time in a field in lehi, and then wrapped things up in the studio. now, i'd say its high time to let the photos do the talking...
REMEMBER THESE LEGS? | Utah Love Photographer, Utah wedding photographer
what happened this morning exactly: myra: mommy, mommy WAKE UP!
me: (incoherent mumble/moan)
myra: daddy, if you don't wake up, i'm going to spank your face! (no, we don't spank our children, what would make you think we spank our children?)
marty: ahhhhhhh! no, don't spank my face!
me: (huddled in corner, pretending to be oblivious, trying to catch extra moments of precious sleep)
myra: giggling....alright daddy, (SMACK!!!!)
marty leaps, i swear completely vertically into the air from a laying position, pillow poised in hand (totally kung fu style), and hurls it as hard as he can at 4 year old myra's face.
i hold my breath.
myra doesn't cry.
we all laugh and get up to eat breakfast. a sleepy wrennie is scooped up from her crib along the way.
************
that was a nice morning. the morning i spent with these two was pretty nice as well. in both scenarios, warm feelings and laughing were key components.

me brother | utah engagement photographer, utah wedding photographer
yesterday, on my mysterious bottom half post, i recieved the following comment on my blog: Is it your brother? Because I'm dying to see those photos."
and we all know that i aim to please. and maybe we don't all know this, but i have GOT to get caught up on giving my couples some blog time.
so erin jo, here you go (how i enjoy the ring and easy rhymability of your name). =)
and let me just say a word or two about brett and paige. brett, as i'm sure you've caught on by now, is my brother. brett is a happy guy, doesn't complain much, always life of the party. but i have NEVER seen him as happy as he is when he's with paige. together they laugh, and kiss more than the casual observer might be comfortable with. when brett first started dating paige, i believe every one of my family members begged him individually to NOT MESS THIS ONE UP. luckily paige doesn't scare easily. i feel extreeeeeeeemely blessed that brett was able to land himself the heart of one of the most sincere and kind girls i have ever met. whew, for awhile we were all sweating there for you bro. =)
(see erinjo, this is what segmented parts of brett and paige look like).
